Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a full-service small animal hospital in Cazenovia, New York, looking for an Associate Veterinarian to care for cats and dogs. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will carry out full general practice responsibilities, including wellness examinations, preventative care, diagnosing and treating medical conditions, and performing surgery. The role involves providing compassionate, individual attention to patients and working with owners to support their pets’ health throughout every life stage. The role is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.
Practice Details
The hospital has served Cazenovia and the surrounding communities for over 50 years, providing primary and preventative care from puppyhood and kittenhood through to senior care. The modern facility offers in-house and reference laboratory services, digital radiology, digital dental radiology and laser therapy. Hospital opening hours are Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 8:00am–6:00pm, and Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm. The hospital is closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
Team
The hospital currently has one DVM, alongside technicians and other support staff. The team is knowledgeable in veterinary procedures and medications, supporting high standards of preventative and therapeutic care.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
