Introduction
Our client is a full-service animal hospital outside of Syracuse, New York, hiring an Associate Veterinarian to join a well-established practice providing comprehensive care for companion animals. The hospital has served its community for over 50 years and is committed to delivering high-quality medicine with compassion, individualized attention, and strong client relationships.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:00am to 6:00pm, and Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm. The practice is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide medical, surgical, and preventive care for small and companion animal patients. Clinical responsibilities include wellness and preventive medicine, surgery, dentistry, anesthesia, pain management, diagnostics, and end-of-life care. The role emphasizes strong client communication, compassionate patient care, and collaboration with the wider clinical team. This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with dedicated mentorship available for those early in their careers.

Practice Details
This long-standing practice offers a full range of veterinary services supported by modern technology and a progressive approach to care. The hospital is equipped with in-house and reference laboratories, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, laser therapy, and an in-house pharmacy. Services include preventive care, wellness exams, vaccinations, parasite control, dental care, general and routine surgery, spay and neuter procedures, geriatrics, pain management, radiology, and pet loss support. The culture is team-oriented and patient-focused, combining hometown care with modern medical standards.

Team
The hospital is supported by one DVM and a great tenured support team. The working environment is collaborative and supportive, with knowledgeable technicians and staff who are dedicated to providing excellent care and supporting veterinarian success.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
