Job Description
Introduction
Our client is an AAHA-accredited companion animal hospital seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join its team on a part-time basis, working two days per week. The practice provides a broad range of companion animal services and focuses on high-quality medicine while prioritizing patient comfort and well-being.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide companion animal care across wellness and sick pet visits, dentistry, surgery, diagnostics, and other general practice services. Surgical services include spay and neuter procedures, oral surgery and dental extractions, growth removals, foreign body retrieval, entropion surgery, third eyelid tacking, Cesarean sections, prophylactic gastropexy, cystotomy, and stenotic nares correction. This position is intended for an experienced veterinarian who is confident practicing independently while having access to support from an experienced veterinary team throughout the day. The role is two days per week.
Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM and is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. The practice is AAHA accredited and has Fear Free Certified Professionals. Services include wellness care, sick pet care, dentistry, surgery, microchipping, radiography, diagnostics, ultrasound, behavioral and nutritional counseling, boarding, and grooming. Diagnostic capabilities include full-service in-house blood and urine analysis alongside access to a comprehensive reference laboratory. The hospital’s medical philosophy focuses on providing high-quality medicine while keeping patient comfort and well-being at the forefront.
Team
The hospital currently has one DVM, with an experienced veterinary team providing support throughout the working day.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
