Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their small animal practice. The clinic provides comprehensive veterinary care for dogs and cats and is looking to add a veterinarian to support their collaborative and supportive two-doctor team. This opportunity is suited to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with mentorship and a positive team environment available.

Working Hours / Rota
The position offers full-time or part-time flexibility. Hospital hours are Monday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, Tuesday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Wednesday from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, Thursday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The hospital is closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for examining animals to assess their health, diagnosing conditions, and developing treatment plans. Duties include treating and dressing wounds, performing surgical procedures, testing and vaccinating against diseases, prescribing medications, and advising pet owners on preventative care and medical treatments. Veterinarians will collaborate closely with the clinical team to deliver high-quality patient care while building strong relationships with clients. This role is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Practice Details
The hospital is a full-service small animal practice providing medical, surgical, dental, and wellness care for dogs and cats. The facility is equipped with ultrasound, tonometry, digital radiography, and electronic medical records, allowing veterinarians to support diagnostics and treatment planning effectively. The hospital provides both routine care and urgent care services during open hours, ensuring patients receive timely treatment when needed. The culture emphasizes teamwork, reasonable appointment pacing, and a supportive clinical environment focused on delivering compassionate veterinary medicine.

Team
The hospital currently has 2 DVMs and a great tenured support team, creating a collaborative and supportive environment where veterinarians and staff work together to provide excellent patient care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
