Job Description
Introduction
This established mixed animal practice in Cañon City, Colorado is seeking a Veterinarian to join its team of five doctors. Serving the local community since 1975, the hospital provides comprehensive care for companion animals, horses, and livestock, combining modern veterinary medicine with strong community relationships. The hospital is open Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm and is closed on weekends, supporting an excellent work-life balance.
Role Description and Responsibilities
As a Veterinarian, you’ll provide preventative care, diagnostics, medicine, surgery, and dentistry across a diverse mixed animal caseload. Responsibilities include performing physical examinations, diagnosing and treating medical conditions, carrying out surgical procedures, developing treatment plans, maintaining accurate medical records, and building lasting relationships with clients. The role offers flexibility for veterinarians to pursue their individual clinical interests, whether in companion animal medicine, livestock, surgery, herd health, or preventative care.

Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
