Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a privately owned veterinary hospital providing care primarily to cats and dogs, with occasional pocket pets also seen. They are looking for an Associate Veterinarian on either a full-time or part-time basis.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide a full scope of general practice responsibilities. Doctor hours are open to discussion, allowing flexibility around the successful candidate’s schedule. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Practice Details
The hospital provides a full scope of general practice services, including wellness and preventative care, internal medicine, soft-tissue surgery and dentistry. The facility includes six exam rooms, a treatment suite and a dedicated surgery/dental suite. Equipment includes digital X-ray, digital dental X-ray, a dental machine and newly updated anesthesia machines. The hospital also has IDEXX in-house laboratory equipment, including SediVue, two Catalyst One analyzers, ProCyte and SNAP readers, and uses Cornerstone software. The hospital is open Monday and Tuesday from 7:30am–8:00pm, Wednesday from 7:30am–6:00pm, Thursday and Friday from 7:30am–5:00pm, and Saturday from 7:30am–1:00pm.

Team
The hospital has a team of four DVMs alongside a great support staff team, with a 2:1 support staff-to-doctor ratio.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
