Job Description
Introduction
If you’re looking for a practice where you can build lasting relationships with both clients and patients, this could be a great fit. The team is looking for a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join a well-established practice that has been serving the community for over 35 years, with a loyal client base spanning generations. Caring for dogs, cats, birds, exotics, pocket pets, rabbits, and reptiles, you’ll enjoy a varied caseload in a supportive environment where no two days are the same.
Role Description and Responsibilities
As an Associate Veterinarian, you’ll take on the full scope of GP responsibilities, managing a diverse caseload across companion animals and exotics. You’ll be involved in consultations, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, preventative care, and client education while working closely with the wider team to deliver outstanding patient care. The schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts on a rotating basis, with daytime emergency care as part of the role but no after-hours call, helping to maintain a healthy work-life balance. Students and new graduates are encouraged to apply and will receive dedicated mentorship from an experienced clinical team.
Practice Details
The practice is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm and Saturday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Alongside providing the full scope of GP services, the hospital also offers Advanced Dental Care and Orthopedics, giving you the opportunity to work with a broad and rewarding caseload. You’ll have access to Digital X-Ray, Digital Dental X-Ray, a Tonopen, Ultrasound, an In-House Laboratory, and In-House Endoscopy, providing everything needed to confidently diagnose and treat a wide range of cases. The hospital features six exam rooms, a dedicated dental suite, surgery room, radiology and ultrasound room, an Isolation Ward, an Intensive Care Unit, an In-Office Surgical Suite, an In-House Pharmacy, and hands-free radiology safety standards. As an AAHA-accredited practice since 2006 with Fear Free Certified Professionals, the hospital is committed to delivering high-quality, low-stress veterinary care. In addition to its clinical services, the practice also provides Animal Rehabilitation, Cold Laser Therapy, Acupuncture, Pet Boarding, and Oxygen and Transfusion Therapy.
Team
You’ll be joining an experienced team of 4 veterinarians with over 70 years of combined experience, supported by 10 technical support staff who help keep the practice running smoothly. It’s a collaborative environment where mentorship, teamwork, and providing exceptional patient care are at the heart of everything they do.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
