Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring for a full-time Veterinarian to join a fast-paced, collaborative small animal practice in Burlington, Iowa. The clinic treats companion animals.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Tuesday from 7:30 AM to 7:30 PM, and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The position is full-time and includes participation in the shared after-hours emergency schedule with the current doctors.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinarian will provide a wide range of services including wellness care, dentistry, surgery, diagnostics, urgent care, end-of-life care, and client education. The role is open to experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with an ideal candidate possessing surgical skills and a desire to contribute to a collaborative, community-focused practice. Participation in the after-hours emergency rotation is required.

The hospital is equipped with advanced diagnostic and surgical tools and offers comprehensive veterinary services, including wellness care, dental care, surgical services, diagnostics, urgent care, pet boarding, pet grooming, microchipping, nutritional counseling, and pharmacy support. The clinic has been serving the community since 1957 and fosters a friendly, supportive work environment focused on both personal and professional growth.
Team

Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
