Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing care for cats and dogs and is seeking a part-time Associate Veterinarian to join their team in Buffalo, New York. This opportunity is focused exclusively on outpatient medicine and is ideal for veterinarians who enjoy building client relationships, providing preventative care, and delivering high-quality medical services in a supportive environment. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide preventative and outpatient medical care for canine and feline patients. Responsibilities include wellness examinations, routine sick appointments, vaccinations, client education, preventative healthcare recommendations, and ongoing patient management. This role is strictly rooms-based with no surgical or dentistry responsibilities, allowing veterinarians to focus entirely on outpatient medicine and client communication. The position is currently structured as a consistent two-day-per-week schedule, with the potential to expand into a full-time opportunity as client demand continues to grow. Both experienced veterinarians and new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Practice Details
This AAHA-accredited hospital has been serving the Buffalo and Western New York community since 2014 and was established to provide affordable and accessible veterinary care. The practice focuses on preventative and outpatient care for dogs and cats, with services including preventative care, senior pet care, puppy and kitten care, diagnostic care, emergency evaluations, wellness examinations, vaccinations, routine screenings, behavioural guidance, nutritional counselling, and in-house diagnostic testing. The hospital is committed to helping pets live healthier lives through preventative medicine and client education. Advanced procedures, surgery, hospitalisation, and radiology services are supported through affiliated referral hospitals. The practice maintains a strong reputation within the community and continues to experience growing client demand and caseload volume. Hospital hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

Team
The hospital is staffed by 5 DVMs and a great tenured support team. The practice maintains an approximate 3:1 staff-to-doctor ratio, including technicians, assistants, and client service representatives. The environment is collaborative, supportive, and focused on helping veterinarians provide excellent patient care while maintaining a positive work-life balance.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
