Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a small animal hospital seeking a part-time Associate Veterinarian to join their growing team, providing care for cats and dogs in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for delivering high-quality veterinary care, including performing examinations, diagnosing and treating medical conditions, and carrying out surgical and dental procedures. The role includes maintaining accurate medical records, ensuring compliance with veterinary regulations, and providing clear and compassionate communication with clients. Responsibilities also include collaborating with the Principal Doctor and Practice Manager to uphold medical standards, support hospital performance, and contribute to team development. The position offers exposure to a wide range of cases including internal medicine, emergency and critical care, and preventative services. This opportunity is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with opportunities for continued learning and professional growth.
Practice Details
The hospital is a small animal practice committed to providing comprehensive care including surgery, dentistry with dental radiography, internal medicine, emergency and critical care, diagnostics, and preventative services such as puppy and kitten care, senior pet care, and microchipping. The practice emphasizes staying at the forefront of veterinary technology and maintaining a collaborative and supportive culture focused on both patient care and team wellbeing. The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm and is closed on weekends.
Team
The team consists of 6 DVMs supported by a great tenured support staff, fostering a collaborative and team-oriented environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
