Introduction
Offering the variety of General Practice alongside appointment-based Urgent Care, this hospital in Brookville, Pennsylvania is looking to welcome a Veterinarian to its collaborative team. The hospital primarily provides care for companion animals, with birds, exotics and pocket pets also seen on a case-by-case basis for wellness and selected diagnostic services. There’s flexibility here for both an experienced veterinarian looking for their next long-term position and a newer DVM who would benefit from mentorship, with plenty of scope to continue developing clinically while building genuine relationships with clients and the surrounding community.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role encompasses the full scope of General Practice responsibilities, with the flexibility to become involved in Urgent Care cases alongside the hospital’s everyday medical and surgical caseload. You’ll take ownership of cases across preventive medicine, diagnostics, treatment planning, wound management, surgery and ongoing patient care, while working closely with the wider clinical team when another perspective would be useful. The schedule is designed with flexibility in mind, and the opportunity can be shaped around your experience and career goals. Practice Details
The hospital provides a full scope of GP services alongside appointment-based Urgent Care, with Urgent Care currently available after normal consulting hours until 8:00 PM Monday through Saturday. Equipment and clinical capabilities available include, but are not limited to, Digital Radiography, Ultrasound, a Full In-House Laboratory and CO2 Surgical Laser technology, supporting a varied medical, diagnostic and surgical caseload. The hospital has continued to invest in newer technology to expand its diagnostic capabilities, while its services extend across medical care, surgery, dentistry and selected exotic and avian medicine. Normal opening hours are Monday 9:00 AM–6:00 PM, Tuesday 7:00 AM–6:00 PM, Wednesday 7:00 AM–5:00 PM, Thursday 7:00 AM–6:00 PM, Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM and Saturday 8:00 AM–12:00 PM, with the hospital closed on Sundays.

Team
You’ll be joining a close-knit veterinary and support team with a good amount of experience to draw on across General Practice, surgery, Internal Medicine and Urgent Care. The technical team includes several Certified Veterinary Technicians alongside additional veterinary technicians and assistants, giving the doctors plenty of hands-on support throughout the working day. Mentorship and education are already part of the hospital’s culture, with experience in training and developing support staff as well as wider mentorship and clinical development available through the role. That makes this a nice setup for someone who wants people around them to bounce ideas off and learn from, while still having the independence to develop their own clinical interests and take ownership of their patients.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
