Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing full-service veterinary care and is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team. The clinic offers a mix of general practice and some urgent care cases, delivering comprehensive care in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday and Tuesday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Wednesday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Saturday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and is closed on Sundays. The role offers flexibility for either full-time or part-time schedules, with weekend coverage required on Saturdays.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for examining animals to assess their health, diagnosing conditions, and providing appropriate treatment. Duties include performing surgery, treating and dressing wounds, conducting vaccinations and disease testing, operating diagnostic equipment such as x-ray machines, prescribing medications, and advising pet owners on general care and treatment plans. The role also involves working closely with the wider team to deliver high-quality, collaborative patient care. This opportunity is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with advanced capabilities including chiropractic care, acupuncture, laser therapy, digital x-ray, ultrasound, and an in-house lab (CBC, chemistry). Facilities include three exam rooms, supporting a workflow that handles primarily general practice with some urgent care cases. Services offered include wellness care, dental care, surgical services, specialty services, diagnostics, end-of-life care, laboratory services, microchipping, nutrition, pharmacy, and emergency care. The practice emphasizes a welcoming, client-focused environment with a commitment to high-quality veterinary medicine.

Team
The team consists of 3 DVMs and a great tenured support team, including technicians who contribute to a collaborative and efficient working environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
