Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring an Associate Veterinarian to join a well-established, full-service practice providing care to dogs and cats. The hospital is seeking a veterinarian who enjoys practicing advanced veterinary medicine within a cohesive and tenured team environment.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The role includes a wide range of clinical responsibilities such as preventive care, wellness exams, vaccinations, internal medicine, dentistry, and soft tissue surgery. Additional responsibilities include diagnostics, anesthesia, pain management, and treating conditions such as diabetes, dermatological issues, and general medical cases. The position is a full-time role and is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.
Practice Details
Our client is a full-service hospital with over 40 years of history in the community, offering a broad range of services supported by advanced equipment and facilities. The practice includes digital radiology, dental radiography, ultrasound, echocardiography, EKG, in-house laboratory and pharmacy, and a fully equipped surgical suite. Services offered include preventive care, wellness exams, vaccinations, parasite control, microchipping, dentistry, general and soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, hospitalization, intensive care, radiology, pain management, geriatric medicine, and more. Additional offerings include boarding, daycare, and grooming services. The hospital is AAHA accredited, maintaining high standards across multiple areas of veterinary care. The hospital operates seven days a week, with hours Monday to Friday 7:30 am–9:00 pm, Saturday 7:30 am–5:00 pm, and Sunday 7:30 am–3:00 pm. The schedule consists of four weekdays with a rotating weekend and no on-call requirements.
Team
The team consists of 6 DVMs supported by a great tenured support team. The environment is cohesive, collaborative, and supportive, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and high-quality patient care.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
