Associate Veterinarian

Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a practice that is hiring for a Lead Veterinarian. The clinic is a multi-doctor, feline-friendly facility that provides care for multiple species, including companion animals, exotics, avian, reptiles, and pocket pets, and is seeking an experienced veterinarian to lead the medical team while supporting the overall success of practice operations.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 6:00pm and on Saturdays from 8:00am to 3:00pm. This is a full-time position.

Role Description and Responsibilities
Clinical responsibilities include managing a varying caseload with surgeries and appointments, overseeing the medical care of all patients, collaborating with the clinical team and leadership, assisting with staffing and scheduling, growing relationships within the practice and community, encouraging the development of support staff, and serving as the veterinarian of record for required permits and licenses. This role is open to experienced veterinarians.

Practice Details
The practice has a spacious 7,000 sq ft facility with seven exam rooms and a separate surgery building. Equipment includes ultrasound, therapy laser, digital radiology, and digital dental radiography. Facilities support a wide range of species and a full spectrum of veterinary services. Services offered include behavioral medicine, dental care, diagnostics and laboratory, emergency pet services, end of life care, microchipping, nutritional counseling, pain management, parasite prevention and control, spay and neuter, surgery and anesthesia, vaccinations, wellness exams, wellness testing, and wound care.

Team
There are 6 DVMs and a great support team.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
