Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing advanced equine veterinary care and is seeking an Equine Veterinarian with a focus on sports medicine and lameness. The practice delivers high-level medical and surgical care to a diverse caseload including Western performance horses, Hunter/Jumpers, and Dressage athletes, within a collaborative referral hospital environment.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with Saturday and Sunday closed. The role is available on a full-time or part-time basis, and includes participation in an emergency on-call rotation with specialist back-up, with emergency care available 24/7/365.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This position focuses on managing complex sport horse cases, with responsibilities including performing comprehensive lameness evaluations, advanced diagnostics, and developing and implementing sports medicine treatment plans. The successful candidate will utilize advanced ultrasonography for detailed imaging of joints and soft tissue structures and work with regenerative therapies such as IRAP, PRP, and Pro-Stride. The role also involves close collaboration with internal medicine and surgical teams, delivering high-quality client communication, and participating in emergency care. This opportunity is suited to an experienced veterinarian.

Practice Details
This is a full-service equine veterinary practice equipped with advanced technology and supported by board-certified specialists. The hospital provides a wide range of services including surgery, internal medicine, routine wellness care, diagnostic imaging, pre-purchase exams, dental care, lameness evaluations and treatments, integrative medicine, foal care, farrier consultations, and outpatient services. The practice is known for delivering exceptional care across all breeds and disciplines, supported by a team that includes ACVS board-certified surgeons, an ACVIM board-certified internist, ultrasound specialists, veterinarians trained in acupuncture, and consulting specialists in ophthalmology and dermatology. The environment is collaborative, professional, and focused on achieving excellent clinical outcomes.

Team
The team consists of 6 DVMs and a great tenured support team, working in a collaborative and team-oriented environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
