Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital looking to hire an Associate Veterinarian on either a full-time or part-time basis. This full-service, community-focused hospital provides high-quality veterinary care for cats and dogs while building lasting relationships with clients and their pets. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative practice dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care in a supportive clinical environment.
Role Description and Responsibilities
This role encompasses the full scope of General Practice responsibilities, providing preventative, medical, and surgical care for cats and dogs. You will manage a well-rounded companion animal caseload consisting primarily of dogs and cats, with a balance of wellness and preventative care, dentistry, surgery, diagnostic workups, rehabilitation, senior care, chronic disease management, and urgent medical needs. You will work closely with clients to develop comprehensive treatment plans, provide preventative healthcare, and deliver a high standard of patient care and client service. Specific working hours will be discussed further. This opportunity is open to both new graduates and experienced veterinarians. New graduates will benefit from a structured, year-long mentorship program, including a dedicated Clinical Mentor whose schedule intentionally overlaps with theirs to provide consistent case support. The program also includes regular mentor meetings, goal-setting and communication workshops, and hands-on learning opportunities. Before entering practice, eligible new graduates can participate in a five-day Surgical Mentorship Program with individualized instruction and approximately 20–40 procedures completed in a small-group setting, as well as a two-day Dental Wet Lab led by a veterinary dental specialist. Experienced veterinarians will enjoy clinical autonomy, collaboration, and continued investment in their professional interests through generous continuing education support and access to the Clinical Tracks Program, which provides complimentary, RACE-approved continuing education facilitated by veterinary specialists within the network.
