Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their AAHA-certified small animal practices in Newton and Bondurant, Iowa. Operating as one larger entity across two locations, the clinics provide comprehensive veterinary care for companion animals, with a focus on preventive medicine, surgery, diagnostics, and urgent care.

Working Hours / Rota
Both locations are open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm and is open the second and fourth Saturday of each month from 8:00am to 12:00pm and are closed on Sundays. The role is available on a full or part-time, offering flexible scheduling and medical autonomy.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be proficient in general medicine, surgery, and dentistry, delivering high-quality small animal care across preventive, medical, and surgical cases. Responsibilities include conducting examinations, performing surgical procedures ranging from routine spays and neuters to orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries, utilizing in-house diagnostics, and providing client communication and education. The position welcomes veterinarians seeking flexibility and professional growth within a collaborative environment.

Practice Details
These AAHA-certified hospitals offer wellness care, vaccinations, dental care, surgery, in-house diagnostics, parasite prevention, boarding, microchipping, senior pet care, nutritional counseling, urgent care, ultrasound, and after-life care services, with cremation services available through Loving Rest at the Newton location. Both facilities provide comprehensive surgical services including routine spay and neuter procedures, orthopedic surgeries, and soft tissue procedures, supported by state-of-the-art surgical suites, advanced anesthetic monitoring, and a strong emphasis on patient safety and pain management. Diagnostic capabilities include digital full body and dental radiology, endoscopy, ultrasonography, blood testing, intestinal parasite screening, and additional in-house laboratory testing, with access to external lab packages for expanded diagnostics.

Team
Across both locations, six doctors work collaboratively, supported by skilled veterinary surgeons and compassionate support staff. Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
