Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a small animal hospital seeking a dedicated veterinarian to join its three-doctor team. The hospital provides care for canine and feline patients and offers a wide range of services, supported by modern facilities and advanced technology. Both experienced veterinarians and new graduates seeking mentorship are encouraged to apply, with opportunities for professional development in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and Saturday from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. Flexibility is available to support work-life balance.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The role involves providing comprehensive veterinary care, including wellness exams, diagnosing and treating illnesses and injuries, performing surgeries, conducting diagnostic imaging, and advising pet owners on medical conditions, treatments, and preventative care. There is also an opportunity to develop surgical skills and work in areas such as dental care, acupuncture, holistic medicine, and urgent care. This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates who will benefit from structured mentorship.
Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with in-house laboratories, digital radiography, dental radiography, and ultrasound. These facilities support a full range of services including wellness care, dental care, surgical services, acupuncture, holistic medicine, diagnostics, end-of-life care, laboratory services, microchipping, nutrition, pharmacy, and urgent care. Diagnostic capabilities such as X-rays and ultrasound allow for early detection of conditions, enabling timely and effective treatment.
Team
The practice currently has three DVMs working alongside a skilled support team. The workplace culture is collaborative and mentorship-focused, ensuring a positive and growth-oriented environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
