Introduction
This brand-new small animal hospital in Boise, Idaho is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its founding clinical team. Having opened in Summer 2026, this is a rare opportunity to help build a modern practice from the ground up while working alongside the hospital’s current veterinarian. The practice is committed to delivering high-quality general practice medicine in a collaborative environment where doctors are encouraged to develop their clinical interests, contribute new ideas, and grow long-term careers. The hospital operates Monday to Friday with no weekend hours, supporting an excellent work-life balance.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As an Associate Veterinarian, you’ll provide comprehensive medical care for companion animals, including preventative medicine, wellness examinations, diagnostics, dentistry, routine soft tissue surgery, and medical case management. You’ll build strong relationships with clients through clear communication and personalised treatment plans while working closely with technicians and support staff to deliver outstanding patient care. As part of the founding clinical team, you’ll also have the opportunity to influence hospital protocols, workflows, and the future direction of the practice as it continues to grow.

Practice Details
Opened in Summer 2026, this purpose-built general practice hospital has been designed to support efficient workflows, high-quality medicine, and an outstanding client experience. The wider organisation invests heavily in clinical development, providing access to advanced hands-on skills laboratories, continuing education, Medical Advisory meetings, and collaboration with experienced veterinarians across the network. Doctors are encouraged to pursue individual areas of interest, with opportunities for mentorship, leadership development, and potential equity partnership as their careers progress.

Team
You’ll work alongside the hospital’s current veterinarian while helping build a collaborative team of doctors, technicians, and support staff. As one of the practice’s founding veterinarians, you’ll play an important role in establishing a positive hospital culture centred around teamwork, mentorship, and clinical excellence, creating an environment where both experienced veterinarians and future team members can thrive.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
