Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital looking to hire a full-time Associate Veterinarian. Providing veterinary care for dogs and cats, this established small animal hospital has earned an excellent 4.7-star Google rating and is committed to delivering trusted, high-quality veterinary medicine to its local community. The opportunity offers the chance to join an established clinical team within an AAHA-accredited environment focused on medical excellence, collaboration, and continued professional development.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role encompasses the full scope of General Practice responsibilities, providing the opportunity to manage a varied medical and surgical caseload with autonomy over clinical decision-making, diagnostics, treatment planning, and ongoing case management. You’ll work with the hospital’s diagnostic and clinical capabilities to deliver a consistently high standard of medicine while developing strong and lasting relationships with clients. You’ll work collaboratively with the wider veterinary and support team, contributing to shared clinical standards and effective case management across the hospital. The position is suited to an experienced veterinarian, offering the opportunity to contribute meaningful medical expertise from the outset while continuing to develop within an established and supportive practice environment.

Practice Details
The hospital provides a full scope of GP services alongside farm-call services for sheep and goats. Its clinical offering is supported by state-of-the-art diagnostic, medical, and surgical capabilities, providing veterinarians with the resources required to manage a broad caseload. The practice is equipped with Digital Radiography, Dental Radiography, Ultrasound, and an In-House Laboratory, alongside state-of-the-art surgical equipment. The hospital is AAHA accredited, reflecting its commitment to established standards of veterinary care. The hospital is open Monday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Tuesday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Thursday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The hospital is closed on Sundays.

You’ll be joining an established team of 3 veterinarians, supported by the hospital’s wider veterinary support team. The practice combines decades of clinical experience with a collaborative approach to veterinary medicine, providing an environment where veterinarians can draw on the knowledge and experience of their colleagues while maintaining ownership of their individual cases. Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
