Job Description

Introduction
Our client is an AAHA-accredited hospital seeking a full-time or part-time Associate Veterinarian to join its team. The hospital has been serving its community for over 50 years and provides a diverse caseload spanning wellness, surgery, internal medicine, and urgent care. The practice follows low-stress practices and offers a supportive, collaborative environment focused on maintaining high standards of medicine and patient care.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will manage a varied caseload including wellness and preventative care, internal medicine, urgent care, diagnostics, dentistry, hospitalization, and surgery. The position offers a flexible schedule of three to four days per week, Monday through Friday, with a rotating Saturday shift and no on-call hours. Both experienced veterinarians and new graduates are welcome, with students and new graduates receiving dedicated mentorship.

Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and every other Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM, and is closed on Sundays. The 9,000-square-foot, AAHA-accredited facility features six exam rooms, a large treatment area, spacious surgical suite, isolation ward, and intensive care facilities. Equipment and diagnostic capabilities include digital radiography, ultrasound, echocardiography, EKG, endoscopy, Tonopen, surgical and therapy lasers, OFA radiography, an in-house laboratory, and an in-house pharmacy. Services include wellness and preventative medicine, dentistry and dental radiography, internal medicine, urgent care, intensive care, general, soft tissue, orthopedic, and bone and joint surgery, laser surgery, diagnostics, hospitalization, oxygen and transfusion therapy, dermatology, diabetes management, allergy and skin care, geriatric medicine, pain management, behavioral and nutritional counseling, and euthanasia services. The hospital also has access to referral and specialty hospitals for additional patient care.

Team
The hospital has three DVMs working within a collaborative and supportive environment. The team emphasizes high medical standards, patient care, mentorship, continued learning, and teamwork.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
