Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its long-established animal hospital in Blairstown, New Jersey. The practice provides comprehensive veterinary care to dogs, cats, pocket pets, and avian patients and is hiring an Associate Veterinarian to support its loyal and well-established client base.

Working Hours / Rota
The role is open to either full-time or part-time candidates. The hospital operates Monday, Friday, and Saturday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm, and Wednesday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. Doctor hours align with hospital opening hours, and scheduling is structured to support consistent clinical coverage.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will deliver high-quality medical care across a diverse caseload. Clinical responsibilities include wellness and preventive care, internal medicine, dentistry with dental radiography, anesthesia, pain management, diagnostic imaging, soft tissue surgery, spays and neuters, hospitalization, and urgent and sick patient care. The role also involves building strong client relationships, collaborating with colleagues and support staff, and contributing to a culture of learning and professional development. This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Practice Details
The hospital has been serving its community for over 60 years and has developed a strong, loyal clientele. It is AAHA accredited and Fear Free accredited, reflecting its commitment to high medical standards and patient comfort. The practice is equipped with advanced medical technology including digital and hands-free radiology, ultrasound, echocardiography, EKG, OFA X-ray capabilities, Tonopen, cryosurgery, advanced dental care, and an in-office surgical suite with sevoflurane anesthesia. Services offered span primary care, advanced diagnostics, cardiology support, dermatology, reproductive services, preventive care, and routine and advanced surgical procedures.

Team
The team consists of four DVMs supported by a highly experienced support staff, many of whom have been with the hospital for over a decade. The environment is collaborative, mentoring-focused, and built on teamwork and mutual support.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
