Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a full-service animal hospital in Glenmont, New York, hiring a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join a supportive, growth-oriented practice. The hospital provides comprehensive veterinary care for dogs and cats and is focused on delivering client-centered, low-stress, high-quality medicine that strengthens the human–animal bond.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, Tuesday through Thursday from 9:00am to 6:00pm, and Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm. The practice is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. This is a full-time position, and after-hours or on-call requirements are to be discussed with the practice.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will practice high-quality veterinary medicine with a strong emphasis on proactive preventive care and client-centered service. Clinical responsibilities include providing medical and surgical care, collaborating with leadership to support the clinic’s vision, maintaining and operating clinical equipment, and contributing to an efficient and well-organized hospital environment. The role supports veterinarians who value collaboration, low-stress handling techniques, and ongoing professional development. This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

This AAHA-accredited hospital is dedicated to delivering lifelong veterinary care in a welcoming, low-stress environment. The practice offers a full range of services including wellness and preventive care, surgery, senior pet care, dental care, ultrasound, and urgent care, along with additional pet services such as grooming, daycare, boarding, care plans, pet insurance, and teletriage. The clinic is equipped with modern technology and resources to support high clinical standards and efficient workflows. The culture emphasizes teamwork, professional autonomy, and continuous growth, supported by veterinary-led leadership and advanced resources.
Team
The hospital is currently supported by one DVM and a great tenured support team. The environment is collaborative and positive, with a strong focus on teamwork, mentorship, and creating a workplace where both veterinarians and support staff can thrive.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
