Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a part-time Associate Veterinarian to join their team. Caring for cats and dogs, the hospital is looking for a veterinarian who is passionate about providing high-quality patient care across a mix of general practice and urgent care cases. This opportunity is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates who are looking to work within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As an Associate Veterinarian, you will be responsible for examining animals to assess their health and diagnose medical conditions, developing treatment plans, and delivering high-quality veterinary care. Responsibilities include performing routine wellness examinations, treating and dressing wounds, conducting surgical procedures, testing for and vaccinating against diseases, prescribing medications, and operating diagnostic equipment such as radiography systems. You will also advise pet owners on preventative healthcare, medical conditions, treatment options, and ongoing wellness needs. The role involves working closely with the veterinary team and support staff to ensure excellent patient outcomes and client service. This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Practice Details
This hospital offers a combination of general practice and urgent care services, providing a varied caseload and the opportunity to practice both medicine and surgery. The facility is equipped with digital radiology, ultrasound, tonometry, in-house blood analysers, and electronic medical records to support efficient and comprehensive patient care. Services offered include wellness care, healthy pet plans, dental care, surgical services, diagnostics, laboratory services, microchipping, nutrition consultations, pharmacy services, urgent care, and end-of-life care. Routine wellness examinations form an important part of the hospital’s approach to preventative medicine, helping identify health concerns early and support long-term patient wellbeing. The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and is closed on Sundays. The culture emphasises teamwork, collaboration, and delivering exceptional care to patients and clients.

The hospital is staffed by 1 DVM and a great tenured support team. Team members work closely together in a collaborative environment where support, communication, and high standards of patient care are prioritised.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
