Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a practice hiring for a full-time Associate Veterinarian. This clinic provides care for cats and dogs and is seeking a veterinarian to support its general practice and urgent care services.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The role involves a full scope of GP responsibilities alongside urgent care cases. You will enjoy a balanced caseload, strong support staff, and the ability to practice high quality medicine with autonomy. To protect work/life balance, all after-hours care is referred out. This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Practice Details
The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 7:30AM – 12:00PM and 1:00PM – 5:30PM, and Saturday from 7:30AM – 12:00PM, and is closed on Sundays. It offers a full scope of GP services along with urgent care. The clinic is well-equipped with dentistry, therapeutic laser, digital x-ray, and boarding services. Equipment includes a state of the art Midmark Vet Pro 1000 dental unit, surgical monitors, Canis Major lift tables, and in-house IDEXX lab equipment. The practice has been proudly serving the greater Topeka area for over 35 years.

Team
The team consists of 2 DVMs supported by a great team of support staff, fostering a collaborative working environment.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
