Introduction
Our client is an AAHA-accredited veterinary hospital seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join its team. The practice provides comprehensive care for dogs and cats alongside veterinary services for exotic pets, including birds, reptiles, small mammals, fish, and invertebrates. The hospital combines preventative medicine with advanced diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, and complex medical care within a collaborative environment focused on high clinical standards and patient care.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical care across a varied caseload, building long-term relationships with clients while managing patients from diagnosis through treatment. Clinical responsibilities include wellness and preventative medicine, dentistry, dermatology, internal medicine, diagnostics, ophthalmology, cardiology, pain management, exotic and pocket pet medicine, and surgical care. Surgical services include spay and neuter procedures, soft tissue surgery, mass removals, cystotomies, dental surgery, and surgery for exotic patients. The veterinarian will communicate findings and treatment plans clearly with clients, educate owners on their pets’ health, and work collaboratively with the wider hospital team. A DVM degree and valid state veterinary license in good standing are required.

Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Tuesday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with the hospital closed on Sundays. The practice is AAHA accredited and provides advanced diagnostic capabilities including digital radiography, ultrasound, tonometry, blood testing, and laboratory diagnostics, alongside modern anesthesia and surgical monitoring. Services include wellness and preventative care, vaccinations, dentistry, dermatology, hospice and euthanasia, microchipping, nutrition, parasite control, puppy and kitten care, senior medicine, internal medicine, cardiology, ophthalmology, pain management, exotic and pocket pet care, diagnostic imaging, and surgery. The hospital can also access board-certified specialists within a wider clinical network for consultation on more complex cases, allowing additional expertise to be incorporated into patient care where appropriate.

Team
The hospital has two DVMs working alongside a supportive paraprofessional team. The practice places a strong emphasis on collaboration, continuous learning, and high standards of veterinary medicine. Veterinarians have access to internal specialty consultations, continuing education resources, mentorship, and professional development opportunities, including pathways for those looking to expand their clinical expertise or progress into leadership.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
