Introduction
A privately owned mixed animal hospital in Bennett, Colorado is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its established and highly collaborative four-doctor team. This is a unique opportunity to practice within a true mixed animal setting that serves companion animals, equine patients, livestock, and exotics, while offering the flexibility to focus on any portion of the caseload, including small animal only. Working Hours / Rota
Both full-time and part-time positions are available. Full-time veterinarians typically work four ten-hour days per week, with rotating Saturdays scheduled every other week. The hospital is closed on Sundays. Each doctor’s schedule is customized to support both personal lifestyle needs and the needs of the practice. One designated surgery day is built into the weekly schedule for elective procedures and urgent cases, while remaining days are structured around thirty-minute appointments with a daily lunch break.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide high-quality medical and surgical care across a diverse caseload, with the freedom to pursue individual clinical interests. Responsibilities include preventative care, internal medicine, surgery, client education, and collaborative case management. The position is suitable for veterinarians at any stage of their career, including new graduates, who will benefit from a structured mentorship program and ongoing support. Experienced doctors will enjoy autonomy, collaboration, and the opportunity to work with a wide range of species and services.

Practice Details
This PACFA certified hospital functions as a full-service mixed animal facility offering internal medicine, surgery, chiropractic care, reproductive services, end-of-life care, and house calls for both large and small animal patients. Orthopedic surgeries are supported on site by a visiting surgical specialist. The practice is well equipped with digital radiography, digital dental radiography, ultrasound, cold laser therapy, a comprehensive in-house laboratory with Imagyst and Heska analyzers, and a fully cloud-based practice management system. Appointments are intentionally staggered to allow meaningful client communication and thorough care. The hospital’s reputation for handling complex and unique cases extends across species, including exotic animals.

Team
You will be joining a close-knit, experienced team consisting of four full-time veterinarians, six veterinary technicians, four assistants, and five client service representatives. The culture is built around communication, respect, and shared learning, with biweekly in-house case rounds, regular full-team meetings, and monthly off-site gatherings that strengthen team connection. The doctors work closely together and foster a supportive, family-like environment where collaboration and positivity are central to daily practice.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
