Introduction
A well-established small animal hospital in Bend, Oregon is seeking a Part-Time Associate Veterinarian to join its experienced team. With more than 45 years of service to the local community, this trusted practice has built a reputation for delivering compassionate veterinary care while maintaining strong relationships with loyal clients. The hospital is well equipped with modern diagnostic and surgical technology, allowing veterinarians to practice high-quality medicine in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm and is closed on weekends, providing a predictable daytime schedule. This position is part-time, working approximately two days per week, offering excellent flexibility and work-life balance.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical care for companion animals, primarily dogs and cats. Responsibilities include performing examinations, diagnosing and treating illnesses, developing treatment plans, performing routine surgical and dental procedures, and communicating clearly with clients about preventative care and ongoing treatment. The role also involves collaborating with the existing veterinary team and support staff to maintain high standards of patient care while contributing to a positive hospital culture.
Practice Details
This established small animal clinic provides a wide range of general veterinary services supported by modern equipment and facilities. The hospital features ultrasound, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, in-house laboratory diagnostics, laser and cryotherapy treatments, and a fully equipped surgical suite. The practice emphasizes preventative medicine while also providing advanced diagnostic and treatment capabilities to support comprehensive patient care.
Team
The hospital currently employs two veterinarians supported by an experienced team of technicians and support staff who work collaboratively to deliver high-quality care for patients and clients.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
