Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a privately owned hospital that sees both large and small animal patients and is seeking a Full-Time Associate Veterinarian to join their thriving team. Established in the mid-1970s, this well-established practice has built a loyal client base and maintains such a busy caseload that it is currently not accepting new patients. The hospital has always been privately owned and plans to remain this way, offering a stable and supportive environment for veterinarians looking to make a long-term impact. This opportunity is ideally suited to an experienced veterinarian who enjoys a busy schedule, values client relationships, and is motivated to maximize their earning and production potential. The hospital welcomes doctors who see both large and small animals, as well as those who prefer to focus solely on small animal medicine. Large animal patients include horses, cattle, sheep, goats, alpacas, and pigs.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This position is designed for an experienced veterinarian who is confident practicing independently and looking to step into a well-established caseload. The practice offers the flexibility to tailor the role around individual interests, whether that involves a strong focus on medicine, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, or wellness care. Doctors are scheduled for 30-minute appointments, allowing time to build client relationships while maintaining an efficient workflow. The hospital is open to veterinarians who prefer not to perform surgery, while also offering the opportunity for those seeking a high surgical caseload. This is a full-time position working five days per week. Doctors work from 8:30am to 6:00pm, with a typical daily schedule consisting of appointments from 9:00am to 11:30am, surgery from 12:00pm to 3:00pm, and appointments from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. There are no weekend requirements and no out-of-hours responsibilities for those seeking just a small animal caseload. For those wanting to work with large animals too, one weekend per month and one night per week is required for on call.

Practice Details
The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 6:00pm and also provides large animal services on Saturdays. The practice is equipped with IDEXX diagnostic equipment, ultrasound, and digital radiography, supporting a comprehensive range of medical and surgical services. Services offered include wellness care, senior care, in-house laboratory diagnostics, dentistry, internal medicine, and surgery. The hospital prides itself on maintaining a family-feel atmosphere while handling a consistently busy caseload. This combination of strong client demand and clinical flexibility creates an excellent opportunity for an experienced veterinarian looking to maximize their productivity and professional satisfaction.

Team
The team consists of three veterinarians, four Licensed Veterinary Technicians, eight assistants, and seven kennel assistants. Collaboration is at the heart of the practice culture, with team members working together to ensure the best possible outcomes for their patients. Everyone shares a commitment to patient care and supports one another in delivering a high standard of veterinary medicine.
