Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a small animal practice that has been serving its community for over 85 years and is currently seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian. The hospital sees a range of small animals including dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs, chinchillas, and ferrets. They offer both traditional and holistic veterinary medicine, making this an excellent opportunity for someone with interest in integrative approaches such as acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, or chiropractic. The team is passionate, friendly, skilled, and committed to high-quality veterinary care while maintaining a safe, fun, and relaxed working environment.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday through Thursday from 9:00am to 7:00pm, and Friday from 9:00am to 1:00pm, with the practice closed on Saturdays and Sundays. This position is full-time, and the veterinarians enjoy a flexible work schedule.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The role involves delivering high-quality small animal medicine and surgery while serving a loyal and appreciative client base. There is also the opportunity to participate in holistic and integrative veterinary modalities for those who are interested. The practice takes pride in offering a supportive and enjoyable workplace with a focus on professionalism and high standards of care.

Practice Details
The clinic is a full-service small animal hospital equipped with laser therapy, ultrasound, digital radiographs, and an in-house laboratory. They also offer holistic services including acupuncture, chiropractic care, and herbal medicine. The environment is calm, comfortable, and designed to help pets feel at ease during their visit. The hospital provides comprehensive medical, surgical, dental, emergency, and integrative services for its patients.

Team
The hospital currently has one DVM, with the wider team described as passionate, friendly, and skilled. The Hospital Manager and Medical Director work closely with staff to maintain a safe, fun, and relaxed environment that supports high-quality care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
