Introduction
Our client is a practice providing care for cats and dogs and is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team in Beacon, New York. Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available. This outpatient-focused role is well suited to a veterinarian who enjoys client education, relationship-led medicine, and providing comprehensive care within a well-established multi-location hospital network. The opportunity is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive outpatient medical care for cats and dogs. The caseload is centred around wellness visits, vaccinations, chronic disease management, and outpatient sick appointments. There are no surgical responsibilities associated with this position. The role also involves client education, building lasting relationships with clients and their pets, and helping support the continued growth and success of the practice. Full-time veterinarians participate in limited on-call coverage one evening per week, providing overnight phone support for minor cases that do not require overnight hospitalisation.

Practice Details
This outpatient practice has access to the collaborative support of an established multi-location hospital network. The Beacon location offers a personalised outpatient experience where doctors can practise high-quality medicine, develop strong client relationships, and make a meaningful impact within the local community. The practice is equipped with in-house laboratory capabilities and uses ezyVet as its practice information management system. Appointments are currently scheduled in 30-minute blocks, allowing time for thorough patient care, client communication, and case workups. Plans are in place to add handheld ultrasound and blood pressure monitoring equipment as the practice grows. Advanced imaging, surgical procedures, specialty support, and referral services are supported through the wider hospital network, including access to advanced diagnostics, experienced general practitioners, a boarded surgeon, a cardiology and internal medicine specialist, skilled licensed veterinary technicians, and additional specialty resources when needed. Services offered include wellness exams, heartworm care, flea and tick care, vaccinations, senior pet care, and geriatric pet evaluations. Current hours are Monday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Thursday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Friday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Full-time veterinarians may supplement their schedule at another location.

Team
The wider team includes 6 DVMs and a great tenured support team. The environment is collaborative and supportive, offering the opportunity to help shape an outpatient practice while benefiting from the resources, referral services, and clinical support of an established hospital network.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
