Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing 24/7 emergency and general veterinary care for dogs and cats and is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team. This well-established, AAHA-accredited facility offers a high standard of medicine supported by advanced technology and a large, collaborative team.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The role is available on a full-time or part-time basis with a rotating schedule, including overnights, swing shifts, and weekends.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for delivering high-quality medical care to canine and feline patients, including performing diagnostics, surgery, and general medical treatments. The role involves managing a varied caseload, maintaining accurate medical records, and providing clear client communication. You will work closely with a large multidisciplinary team and have exposure to a wide range of cases, supported by visiting specialists. This opportunity is open to experienced or new graduate veterinarians, with mentorship available.

Practice Details
This AAHA accredited hospital has been in operation since 1929 and serves as the only 24/7 emergency hospital in the area, offering a diverse and high-volume caseload. The facility includes 7 exam rooms, a dedicated surgical suite, dental suite, overnight sleeping room, and boarding services, and is equipped with digital radiography, dental radiography, ultrasound, ligasure, oxygen chambers, and in-house laboratory capabilities. The hospital also benefits from regular visits from board-certified specialists in cardiology, critical care, and dermatology, enhancing the level of care provided.

Team
The hospital has 11 DVMs supported by a great tenured support team, including a large number of veterinary assistants, registered technicians, and additional support staff, creating a highly collaborative and well-supported environment.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
