Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a modern small animal practice group seeking a Floating Veterinarian to divide their time between two clinics across greater Austin. The position can be either full-time or part-time, working exclusively with cats and dogs. With a technology-forward approach and a deep commitment to its people, the group is building the next generation of general practice veterinary care, balancing the needs of veterinary professionals with those of pet owners and their animals.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Floating Veterinarian will provide a full scope of general practice care across both clinic locations. Responsibilities will include wellness and preventative care, internal medicine, soft-tissue surgery, and dentistry. Doctor hours are open to discussion, with structured schedules designed to provide greater breathing room throughout the working day. Veterinarians work a single flow per shift, focusing on either exams, urgent care, or procedures. An experienced DVM is preferred for this position.

Practice Details
Both clinics provide a full scope of general practice and urgent care services. Clinic A is open Monday through Friday and Sunday from 8am to 6pm, while Clinic B is open Monday through Saturday from 8am to 6pm. Both locations feature modern, state-of-the-art facilities and are well equipped with digital X-ray, digital dental X-ray, in-house laboratory capabilities, and ultrasound. An in-house technology platform is also used to reduce the time veterinarians spend on administrative tasks and simplify record-keeping.

Team
Each clinic has a team of three veterinarians. The practices foster a vibrant, supportive, blame-free culture made up of people who are committed to changing veterinary medicine for the better.
