Job Description
Introduction
A modern, fast-growing veterinary hospital in Aurora, Colorado is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its collaborative team. This practice blends general practice and urgent care services under one roof, delivering seamless, Fear Free–focused medicine in a thoughtfully designed environment. It is an excellent opportunity for a veterinarian who enjoys clinical variety, values team support, and wants to practice progressive medicine without overnight shifts.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates seven days a week and offers flexible scheduling built around 10- or 12-hour shift models. Full-time doctors typically work three to four shifts per week, with weekends rotated fairly across the team. There are no overnight responsibilities, supporting a sustainable and balanced schedule.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide a mix of primary care and urgent care services for companion animals. Responsibilities include performing comprehensive physical examinations, developing diagnostic and treatment plans, managing same-day urgent presentations, and carrying out surgical and dental procedures based on experience and interest. The caseload ranges from routine wellness and preventive care to wound management, gastrointestinal illness, minor trauma, and time-sensitive medical cases that require prompt attention. Collaboration is central to the hospital’s approach, with doctors working closely alongside experienced technicians and support staff to deliver efficient, high-quality care. A strong interest in surgery or dentistry is welcomed, and veterinarians with urgent care backgrounds will find the pace and diversity of cases particularly rewarding.

Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
