Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a small animal veterinary hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team on either a full-time or part-time basis. Primarily providing care for cats and dogs, the hospital also offers services for small pocket pets. The practice has been serving pets and their owners in Augusta since 1987 and has developed a loyal client base, strong reputation, and excellent reviews. The hospital offers a cozy, homely environment focused on providing high-quality veterinary care.
Role Description and Responsibilities
As an Associate Veterinarian, you will provide a high standard of patient care, develop treatment plans tailored to individual patients, and build and maintain strong relationships with clients. You will work collaboratively with the wider veterinary team while having the autonomy to practise medicine independently, with support and backup available when needed. The hospital is open to discussing individual scheduling preferences to see what can be accommodated, and the position requires no weekend work. The opportunity is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with mentorship available for those at the beginning of their careers.
Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday to Friday between 7:30 am and 6:00 pm and is closed on weekends. Services include wellness and preventative medicine, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, and blood work. The practice has been thoughtfully designed with patient care at the heart of the environment and is equipped with modern radiology equipment.
Team
The hospital currently has one DVM, supported by a Practice Manager and assistants, alongside a fantastic support team who work collaboratively to support the veterinarian. The environment allows doctors to focus on practising quality medicine without unnecessary distractions.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
