Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing full-service veterinary care for dogs and cats. They are seeking an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join their team. The practice is open to both full-time and part-time applicants and is focused on delivering high-quality patient care within a supportive clinical environment.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will perform physical examinations, diagnose and treat disease, provide preventive care, and develop diagnostic and treatment plans using a problem-based approach. Responsibilities include routine and complex surgical procedures such as spays, neuters, abdominal exploratory surgery, and mass removals, alongside dental examinations, evaluation of dental radiographs, extractions, and oral surgical procedures. The veterinarian will also manage day-hospitalized patients, transition patients to overnight care when required, communicate with referral hospitals to maintain continuity of care, and maintain detailed medical records. This position is specifically for an experienced veterinarian.

Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with ultrasound, heated hydraulic surgery tables, and digital radiography. Services include routine wellness examinations, comprehensive bloodwork, disease screening, behavioral and anxiety evaluations, nutritional consultations, dentistry, surgical consultations, sick and injury care, allergy and dermatological care, wound care, diagnostic X-rays and ultrasound, vaccinations, microchipping, parasite testing, deworming, and flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Clinical support is available through medical field leaders and a paraprofessional team with opportunities to develop expertise in areas including dentistry and nutrition.

The hospital has a supportive paraprofessional team focused on high-quality patient care, teamwork, and shared clinical goals. Team members are encouraged to expand their skill sets and develop expertise in areas such as dentistry and nutrition.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
