Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital that has been serving the community since 1980 and has built a high rating within the local area. Quality medicine is the foundation of the practice, and they are seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team on either a full-time or part-time basis. The hospital provides care exclusively for cats and dogs and offers a supportive environment for veterinarians at various stages of their careers.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for managing a diverse and engaging caseload, with a strong focus on advanced diagnostics, preventative wellness care, and robust surgical procedures. The hospital is also equipped to provide urgent care services during business hours, allowing doctors to see a wide variety of medical and surgical cases. Responsibilities include wellness and preventative care, diagnostics and testing, surgical procedures, cardiology cases, and urgent care appointments. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with support and mentorship available for those looking to develop their skills. There are no weekend requirements.
Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 6:30pm and is closed on weekends. It is well equipped with diagnostic equipment, including ultrasound, radiology, and in-house blood work capabilities. Services offered include wellness and preventative care, testing and diagnostics, surgical procedures such as spays, neuters, soft tissue surgeries, mass removals, and dental surgeries, as well as cardiology and urgent care services during business hours. The practice provides a varied caseload that allows veterinarians to work across a broad range of medical and surgical cases.
Team
The team consists of 7 DVMs supported by an amazing support staff. The hospital has a genuine community feel and fosters a collaborative environment where veterinarians can work closely alongside experienced colleagues and support team members.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
