Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a well-established small animal practice located in Ashland, New Hampshire, hiring an experienced Associate Veterinarian to join a collaborative and supportive clinical team. The hospital provides care for companion animals and pocket pets and is known for delivering high-quality medicine, maintaining long-standing client relationships, and fostering a growth-minded, team-first culture.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:30pm. This position is open to both full-time and part-time veterinarians.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will manage a steady and established general practice caseload that includes wellness and preventive care, dentistry, diagnostics, and routine to advanced soft tissue surgery. Responsibilities include examining and diagnosing patients, developing and implementing treatment plans, performing surgical procedures, utilizing in-house diagnostic tools, maintaining accurate medical records, and building strong, trust-based relationships with clients.
Practice Details
This is a small animal and pocket pet general practice with a long history of serving the Ashland community. The hospital is equipped with digital radiography, a fully stocked in-house laboratory, and modern surgical and dental equipment to support comprehensive patient care. Services offered include wellness exams, vaccinations, sick and injury visits, dentistry, diagnostics and imaging, spay and neuter procedures, parasite prevention, deworming, microchipping, and surgery. The practice culture emphasizes teamwork, open communication, shared accountability, and providing veterinarians with the tools and resources needed to practice high-quality medicine.
Team
The team consists of three DVMs supported by a strong, experienced support staff, including skilled technicians and dedicated client service representatives. The environment is collaborative and supportive, with a shared commitment to patient care, client service, and professional growth.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
