Our client is a hospital providing care for cats, dogs, and pocket pets/small mammals and is seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join their team in Asheboro, North Carolina. Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will manage a varied caseload consisting of appointments and surgical procedures during hospital operating hours. Responsibilities include providing gentle, stress-free care, serving patients and clients through a relationship-based approach, collaborating with the clinical team and leadership, and building strong relationships within the practice and the local community. The role also involves encouraging the growth of support staff through the internal LevelUp training program. Clinical services provided by the hospital include wellness care, sick and urgent care, dentistry, end-of-life care, labs and diagnostics, microchipping, pain management, parasite prevention, and surgery. This position is open to both new graduates and experienced veterinarians.

Practice Details
The hospital has been serving Asheboro and the surrounding communities since 1961 and is committed to helping pets live happier, healthier lives through exceptional medical and surgical care delivered in a compassionate environment. The practice operates from a spacious 7,000-square-foot facility featuring six exam rooms, separate waiting areas for dogs and cats, indoor dog runs, and cat condos. Services offered include dentistry, end-of-life care, labs and diagnostics, microchipping, pain management, parasite prevention, and surgery. The hospital is actively involved in the local community, welcoming school and explorer groups to learn about veterinary medicine and maintaining a Good Samaritan policy to provide care for injured stray animals and wildlife. Hospital hours are Monday and Tuesday from 7:30am to 6:00pm, Wednesday from 8:00am to 12:00pm, Thursday and Friday from 7:30am to 6:00pm, Saturday from 8:00am to 12:00pm, and closed on Sundays.

The hospital is staffed by 4 DVMs and a great tenured support team. The culture is highly collaborative, with team members working together across a variety of medical and surgical cases while supporting professional development and delivering compassionate care to patients and clients.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
