Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a hospital providing care for dogs and cats and is seeking a part-time Associate Veterinarian to join their team. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced veterinarian looking for a flexible schedule while practicing high-quality small animal medicine in a collaborative and supportive environment. The hospital is committed to delivering compassionate, personalised medical, surgical, dental, and wellness care while building lasting relationships with clients and their pets.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive medical, surgical, dental, and preventative care for companion animals while managing a varied caseload of approximately 14 appointments per day. Appointment times are typically 30 minutes for both wellness and sick visits, allowing for thorough patient assessments and client communication. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with fellow veterinarians on case management and treatment planning, build strong client relationships, and contribute to a supportive, team-first culture. This position offers a flexible part-time schedule with no on-call or after-hours emergency responsibilities and is suited to an experienced veterinarian.
Practice Details
This well-established small animal hospital has served the Arlington community for decades and has been recognised as the 2022 Best Vet in Arlington, VA. The practice is dedicated to providing compassionate, personalised veterinary care in a friendly and professional environment. The hospital is equipped with digital radiography, digital dental radiography, ultrasound, a therapy laser, IDEXX Catalyst and ProCyte in-house laboratory equipment, and a dedicated surgical suite, allowing veterinarians to practice high-quality medicine across a broad range of cases. Services include pain management, radiology, surgery, microchipping, spays and neuters, acupuncture, Class IV laser therapy, dental care, end-of-life care, and an online pharmacy. Hospital hours are Monday through Thursday from 7:30 AM to 7:30 PM, Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and the hospital is closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

The hospital is supported by a team of four DVMs and a great tenured support staff who foster a collaborative environment where doctors work together on case management and treatment planning. The practice values mentorship, open communication, and professional development while maintaining a welcoming culture focused on delivering exceptional patient care.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
