Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a small animal veterinary practice seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their well-established clinic in Appleton, Wisconsin. The role is open to part-time or full-time veterinarians and offers the opportunity to work with a diverse caseload that includes companion animals, exotics, pocket pets, and avian species, supported by a strong culture of mentorship and collaboration.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a lunch closure from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM, with the practice closed on Sundays. Both part-time and full-time schedules are available, offering flexibility to suit individual preferences.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide preventive, medical, and surgical care to a wide range of companion animals while delivering personalized, compassionate service to clients. The role includes building long-term client relationships, collaborating closely with experienced veterinarians and support staff, and contributing to a team-oriented environment that encourages learning, idea-sharing, and the development of medical protocols. This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with mentorship available across multiple species.
Practice Details
The practice has been serving its community since 1975 and continues to grow while maintaining a supportive, team-focused culture. Services offered include pet wellness and vaccination programs, medical diagnostics and treatment, spay and neuter and other surgical procedures, dental care, acupuncture, and ultrasonography. The clinic also provides specialized care for exotic companion animals and avian patients, allowing veterinarians to expand their skills across a diverse caseload. The environment emphasizes client education, high-quality medicine, and collaborative care.
Team
The veterinary team consists of six DVMs who work closely together in a mentoring-focused, supportive setting. The culture encourages collaboration, shared learning, and open communication, creating an environment where veterinarians can grow confidently while enjoying a strong sense of teamwork and community.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
