Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital seeking a Mixed Animal Veterinarian to join their established team. This community-focused practice provides high-quality care for small animals, large animals, exotics, equine, and even local wildlife rescues. With a strong reputation for compassionate and affordable medicine, the hospital offers a varied caseload in a supportive environment. The role is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates eager to learn and grow.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and on Saturdays from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, remaining closed on Sundays. The position can be offered on a full-time or part-time basis, with flexibility to accommodate individual schedules. Emergency care forms part of the caseload, and veterinarians should be comfortable with or willing to learn urgent care responsibilities.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The role involves working across a broad caseload, encompassing preventative care, wellness and vaccinations, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, large animal services, puppy and kitten care, senior pet care, emergency medicine, and end-of-life care. The hospital also provides opportunities to treat exotics, equine, and wildlife, making this an exciting position for those who enjoy variety. Veterinarians will have the chance to develop their skills in surgery, emergency care, and mixed animal medicine while working within a team that values communication, teamwork, and quality care. The position is suitable for both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with mentorship available to support career development.
Practice Details
The hospital is equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, in-house laboratories, and off-site diagnostic support. Additional resources include Zoetis Imagyst technology, a haul-in facility, and a mobile cattle chute, with practice management supported by ClienTrax software and remote access for charting from home. Facilities across two locations allow for a diverse caseload and flexible practice of both general and urgent care. The practice culture is laid-back, collaborative, and focused on delivering quality medicine while supporting professional growth.

Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
