Introduction
Our client is a small animal hospital seeking a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join its team in Apopka, Florida. The hospital provides comprehensive and personalized veterinary care for dogs and cats, combining Eastern and Western medicine with a holistic approach focused on treating the whole pet. This opportunity is for an experienced veterinarian looking to provide compassionate care while building meaningful, long-term relationships with pets and their families.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide comprehensive care including physical examinations, wellness and preventive medicine, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of medical conditions, and the development of personalized vaccination and preventive healthcare plans. Responsibilities include performing routine soft tissue surgeries and/or dental procedures, educating pet owners on treatment options, nutrition, and preventive care, and working collaboratively with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff. Surgical care can include spays and neuters, mass and growth removals, eye enucleation, foreign body removal, bladder stone surgery, tail and limb amputation, ear hematoma repair, dental extractions, and oral surgery. The veterinarian will also contribute to a positive hospital culture centered on teamwork, learning, compassionate communication, and exceptional patient care.

Practice Details
The hospital provides a full spectrum of veterinary care encompassing wellness exams, vaccinations, parasite prevention, dentistry, surgery, dermatology, and Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine, including acupuncture and herbal therapy. Dental services include professional teeth cleaning and digital X-rays, while surgical services range from routine procedures to more involved soft tissue and oral surgeries using current surgical methods and advanced tools. The practice also provides boarding and daycare services. Care combines evidence-based veterinary medicine with Eastern and Western approaches, with individualized treatment based on each pet’s needs. The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM and Saturday from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM.

The hospital has 3 DVMs alongside a great tenured support team of veterinarians, technicians, and support staff. The team works collaboratively to deliver high-quality patient care and focuses on developing strong relationships with clients and their pets while fostering a positive environment that supports teamwork and learning.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
