Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team on a full-time basis, working with dogs, cats, and a wide range of exotic species including birds, rabbits, ferrets, rodents, hedgehogs, sugar gliders, reptiles, and amphibians. This is an opportunity to work in a diverse clinical environment supported by advanced medical resources.
Role Description and Responsibilities
In this role, you will provide comprehensive veterinary care across a varied caseload, including wellness and preventative care, diagnostics, internal medicine, and surgical procedures. You will manage both routine and complex cases, including soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries, while building strong relationships with clients and delivering clear communication around treatment plans. Maintaining accurate medical records and collaborating closely with the veterinary and support team are essential aspects of the role. This position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with mentorship available to support clinical development.
Practice Details
This AAHA-accredited hospital is equipped with modern technology to support advanced care, including hands-free radiology, digital radiology, ultrasound, echocardiography, EKG, and laser surgery. Services offered include advanced care such as cardiology, oncology, dermatology, diagnostic imaging, orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, as well as preventative and primary care. The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, Saturday from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm, and is closed on Sundays. The practice emphasizes a collaborative culture with access to advanced equipment and a diverse caseload, including ZooMED animal care.
Team
The team consists of 1 DVM and a current tenured support team, creating a supportive and collaborative working environment.
Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
