Job Description
Introduction
Our client is a veterinary clinic seeking a part-time Associate Veterinarian to join its companion animal team. The clinic provides comprehensive medical, surgical, and preventative care and is looking for a compassionate veterinarian who is passionate about animal welfare, enjoys developing lasting relationships with clients, and would value the opportunity to develop their own clinical interests.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will provide high-quality medical, surgical, and preventative care across a varied companion animal caseload. Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating medical and surgical cases, performing wellness examinations, vaccinations and preventative care, and building strong relationships with pet owners. The veterinarian will work collaboratively with the wider clinical team and will have the opportunity to pursue individual areas of interest, including dentistry, dermatology, or other clinical interests. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and recent graduates.
Practice Details
The clinic is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Wednesday and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and is closed on Sundays. Doctors have a lunch break from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. each full working day. Services include wellness care, vaccinations, dentistry, surgery, in-house diagnostics, parasite prevention, nutritional counselling, microchipping, geriatric care, and boarding. The practice provides a supportive, team-oriented environment and offers veterinarians room to develop their individual clinical interests.
Team
The clinic has three DVMs who work alongside a supportive team of veterinary technicians and support staff. The environment is team-oriented, with an emphasis on collaboration, high-quality patient care, and building strong relationships with clients and the wider community.
