Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital hiring for a full-time Veterinarian within an AAHA-accredited small animal practice. The hospital provides care for dogs and cats and offers a well-rounded general practice caseload, including preventative care, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, urgent and same-day sick visits, and advanced orthopedic procedures. The practice is also Fear Free Certified and Cat Friendly Certified, creating a supportive, low-stress environment for patients, clients, and the team.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Veterinarian will provide comprehensive small animal care, including wellness exams, preventative medicine, diagnostics, dentistry, soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, pain management, and client education. The caseload includes both routine appointments and more acute urgent or same-day sick visits, offering variety and strong clinical development. For those with surgical interests, there is also opportunity to work with advanced orthopedic procedures including TPLO and CCL repair. Doctor hours are structured within the hospital’s operating schedule. This position is open to both new graduates and experienced veterinarians, with a structured one-year mentorship program available for new graduates.

Practice Details
The hospital operates Monday through Thursday from 7:30 AM to 8:00 PM, Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and is closed on Sundays. The hospital is equipped with multiple exam rooms, treatment areas, surgical and dental capabilities, in-house diagnostics, digital radiology, ultrasound, ECG, tonometry, and advanced surgical capabilities. Services include wellness care, vaccinations, dermatology, dentistry, euthanasia, microchipping, nutrition, parasite prevention, puppy and kitten care, senior care, diagnostics, radiology, ultrasound, acupuncture, cardiology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, pain management, soft tissue surgery, TPLO surgery, CCL repair, and dental surgery. The practice emphasizes collaboration, Fear Free handling, Cat Friendly care, strong clinical standards, and long-term client relationships.

Team
The team consists of 3 DVMs supported by experienced technical staff. The environment is collaborative, welcoming, and team-oriented, with technicians supporting anesthesia monitoring, diagnostics, surgery, dentistry, and workflow efficiency so veterinarians can focus on delivering high-quality medicine.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
