A recently opened AAHA-accredited and Cat Friendly veterinary hospital in Alexandria, Virginia is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join its growing team. The hospital provides comprehensive General Practice care for dogs and cats, with an emphasis on high-quality, relationship-based medicine and continuity of care. As one of the hospital’s first Associate Veterinarians, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to join during an important stage of its development and contribute to the evolving clinical culture, workflows and client experience. Applications are welcomed from both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with structured mentorship and hands-on clinical support available for doctors beginning their careers.

The successful veterinarian will take responsibility for patient care from diagnosis through treatment, developing long-term relationships with clients and maintaining continuity throughout their patients’ care. Responsibilities include communicating diagnostic findings and treatment recommendations clearly, educating owners to support informed decision-making and working collaboratively with the wider clinical and support team. As an early member of the veterinary team, the Associate Veterinarian will also have the opportunity to contribute to the continued development of hospital workflows, culture and the client experience. New graduates will receive dedicated mentorship through hands-on guidance, open case discussion and ongoing clinical support, while experienced veterinarians will have the opportunity to bring their existing experience to a developing hospital environment.
