Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a small animal veterinary hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team on either a full-time or part-time basis within a hybrid GP and urgent care role. Providing care for cats and dogs, the hospital has created a culture centred around compassionate, lifelong care for pets and their families, while providing a collaborative environment where veterinarians can grow both clinically and professionally.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As an Associate Veterinarian, you will provide a high standard of patient care, develop treatment plans, build long-term client relationships, and work collaboratively with the wider veterinary team. The hybrid GP and urgent care caseload provides the opportunity to manage interesting medical cases while still developing ongoing relationships with clients and their pets. You will see a mixture of scheduled GP and wellness appointments, urgent care walk-ins, soft tissue surgeries, medical work-ups, and diagnostic cases. The hospital is open to discussing individual scheduling preferences to see what can be accommodated, with no overnight requirements. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, with mentorship available. Autonomy, mentorship, and genuine support are all key values of the hospital owner.

Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm and from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm on weekends to provide urgent care. Services include wellness and preventative medicine, surgery, dentistry, advanced diagnostics, and urgent care. The hospital is fully equipped with advanced diagnostic capabilities to support its varied GP and urgent care caseload.

Team
You will join a team that currently includes one DVM alongside a fantastic support team who work collaboratively to support the veterinarians and provide patient care.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
