Associate Veterinarian

Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a veterinary hospital seeking a full-time or part-time Associate Veterinarian to join their team. The hospital currently provides care for dogs and cats and would consider expanding its services to include additional species.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for a full scope of general practice responsibilities. The position is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates. Full-time doctors work four days per week plus rotating Saturdays, while part-time candidates would work two or more days per week.

Practice Details
The hospital is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:30pm and Saturdays from 8:00am to noon. The practice offers a full scope of general practice services, including wellness, preventative care, internal medicine, soft-tissue surgery and dentistry, alongside orthopedics. Equipment includes digital X-ray, digital dental X-ray, a dental cleaning machine, isoflurane anesthesia, an in-house IDEXX laboratory and access to a mobile ultrasonographer. The hospital currently has two exam rooms, with plans to expand.

Team
The team consists of one full-time DVM and one part-time DVM. The hospital maintains at least a 2:1 support staff-to-doctor ratio, increasing to approximately 3–4:1 on days when only one doctor is working.

Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
