Job Description

Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team on a part-time basis, working 2–3 days weekly. The practice provides care for cats and dogs and is looking to expand its clinical team with an experienced veterinarian.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This role involves a full scope of general practice responsibilities, including wellness and preventive care, dentistry, diagnostics, and soft tissue surgery. The position is suited to an experienced veterinarian, with doctor hours open to discussion. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute confidently across all aspects of GP medicine while maintaining a high standard of patient care.

Practice Details
The hospital operates Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Saturday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM, and is closed on Sundays. It is equipped with digital radiography, ultrasound, in-house diagnostics, a pharmacy, and a fully equipped surgical suite. Services offered include wellness and preventive care, dentistry, diagnostics, soft tissue surgery, and acupuncture. The clinic is a 2024 award-winning practice in Albuquerque, recognized for its progressive approach to small-animal medicine, strong surgical support, and a positive, team-first culture. Team
The team consists of 3 DVMs supported by a strong group of technicians and assistants per doctor, fostering a well-supported clinical environment.

Candidate Requirements 

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
  • Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
