Introduction
Our client is a hospital seeking a board-certified or residency-trained Rehabilitation Veterinarian to join their growing specialty and emergency team on a part-time basis. This 24/7 specialty and emergency facility provides advanced, collaborative care across multiple disciplines and is looking for a DVM who is passionate about advancing rehabilitation medicine within a multidisciplinary hospital environment. The hospital treats a wide range of species requiring emergency services and specialty care.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a part-time position within a hospital that operates 24/7. The rehabilitation service will function within the broader specialty and emergency setting, with flexibility in scheduling. The staffing model may include more than one part-time DVM, such as a primary Rehabilitation DVM and a Chiropractic-focused DVM.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Rehabilitation Veterinarian will play an active role in developing and advancing the rehabilitation service within the hospital. Responsibilities include partnering with local leadership to shape department development, strengthening hospital culture, promoting collaboration across specialties and care teams, and defining how rehabilitation integrates into the broader specialty and emergency framework. The role requires strong collaboration with specialists, nursing teams, and support staff, as well as comfort taking ownership of the rehabilitation service and advocating for its role within the hospital. Candidates with credentials such as Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner, Certified Animal Chiropractor, or Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist are preferred, though not required.

Practice Details
This VECCS Level II Emergency Facility treats over 15,000 patients annually and is equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment technology, including MRI, CT, on-site board-certified radiology, and a dedicated Hospitalist. Specialty services include anesthesiology and analgesia, emergency medicine, integrative medicine, internal medicine, medical oncology, neurology and neurosurgery, radiology, and surgery. The hospital is currently undergoing an expansion that will double its size, reflecting continued growth and modernization. Candidate Requirements 

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
